Isle of Harris Distillery – The Spirit of an Island

On the remote Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, surrounded by dramatic landscapes and Atlantic waters, stands one of Scotland’s most distinctive young distilleries – Isle of Harris Distillery. Created with a vision to contribute to the future of the island and its community, the distillery transforms the landscape, traditions and maritime character of Harris into distinctive premium spirits.

Isle of Harris Gin was created as “The Gin of Harris” – a spirit designed to capture the essence of the island. Its signature botanical is hand-harvested Sugar Kelp, sustainably gathered from the surrounding sea lochs. Combined with juniper, citrus and carefully selected botanicals, it gives the gin its subtle maritime freshness and unmistakable character.

Produced in small batches in The Dòtach, the distillery’s specially designed copper still, the gin undergoes a highly selective distillation process using only the purest heart of the spirit. The result is exceptional clarity, balance and aromatic precision.

The portfolio includes Isle of Harris Gin, the bolder Tidal Strength Gin, and The Hearach Single Malt Whisky – the first official single malt whisky distilled, matured and bottled on the Isle of Harris. The Hearach follows the same philosophy of place, patience and craftsmanship, combining traditional Scottish whisky-making with the distinctive character of the island.
