THE HEARACH SINGLE MALT

Complex, elegant, and full of character, our inaugural expression is a delicious dram which unfolds in your glass, revealing itself over time, just like the island itself.
Made to our carefully refined blenders’ recipe, we combine spirits which have been matured by the coastal village of Ardhasaig in selected first fill Ex-Bourbon casks, first fill Ex-Oloroso and Fino sherry butts.
We then marry these spirits in batches for a minimum of 12 weeks to bring additional harmony to the final dram.
The result is an Outer Hebridean single malt of distinction we’re proud to bottle and bear our elemental island’s name.

Non-Chill Filtered + No Artificial Colourings

Distilled at the Isle of Harris Distillery, Tarbert, Isle of Harris

Married in batches of around 12,000 bottles for a minimum of 12 weeks

Matured in the village of Ardhasaig in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks, Oloroso and Fino butts

Casks include: 1st-fill Heaven Hill casks; 1st-fill Buffalo Trace casks; 1st-fill José Miguel Martín Oloroso sherry butts; 1st-fill Fino sherry butts.

100% Scottish Concerto and Laureate barleys

Lightly peated (12-15 ppm)

Lallemand DistilaMax MV yeast

Water sourced from Abhainn Cnoc a’ Charrain, Tarbert, Isle of Harris.

Fermentation times of 40% Medium (70 hours) + 60% Long (120 hours)

8000L Oregon Pine washbacks

5000L Spirit still (Eva) & 7000L Wash still
